I needed a little break from all the writing-working-schooling things that I do in a day, and one of my favorite things is “Inside the Actors Studio”. I love to watch the actors answer questions, and I love James Lipton’s way of talking- slightly snarky, and yet warm and welcoming. I think he’s the only person that can pull off that combination. I was also feeling nostalgic for the slam books that we used to do in junior high and high school. Anyway, I love the 10 questions at the end and have used some of them to make conversation around the dinner table if my family is looking more at their plates than at each other, so I thought it would be fun to answer them here 🙂
If I were on “Inside the Actors Studio” these would be my responses to James Lipton’s 10 questions:
1. What is your favorite word?
Ludicrous. I find I’m using it a lot lately
2. What is your least favorite word?
That’s a hard one. I love words. Except for some weird, only-find-their-meaning-on-Urban-Dictionary words.
3. What turns you on?
That spark that occurs between two people that creates instant heat.
4. What turns you off?
Someone who is disrespectful and rude.
5. What sound do you love?
The sound of a river. Or the wind in the trees in autumn.
6. What sound do you hate?
7. What is your favorite curse word?
I know it’s trite, but I do love the word f*ck. I drop a lot of f-bombs.
8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
Forestry. Either a field biologist or a forest ranger. I wouldn’t mind being a GC either and following in my father’s footsteps. I grew up on construction sites and love building and renovation work.
9. What profession would you not like to do?
Sales. I am so not a salesman.
10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
“You weren’t quite the bad person that you thought you were.”
